SIDNEY TO FAIRVIEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT VISION ZERO SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS UNDERWAY ON HIGHWAY BETWEEN SIDNEY AND FAIRVIEW The Sidney to Fairview Roadway Improvements Project began in April 2018 and is aimed at improving the safety ofthe MT 16/ MT 200 corridor betwen Sidney and Fairview through realignment of intersections addition of passing opportunities, and installation of center-left turn lanes along key county roads. The project will also increase roadway capacity to meet current and future traffic demands. Surface improvements along the entire corridor are expected to begin in the Fall. The project began in April of 2018. Weather permitting, It wil be substantially complete in October 2018 and fully complete in Spring of 2019 MDT is committed to working with local stakeholders to minimize construction impacts on industry and the traveling public. Two-way traffic will continue during the majority of the construction, however, motorists should be prepared for limited lane closures. Landowners will maintain ul-time access to their property throughout the duration of the project.
