*** SHANEKYHL4SHERIFF.COM My name is Shane Kyhl, and I am running for the Republican Nomination of Richland County Sheriff, I am running for Sheriff because I want to make a difference for our community. I have built a deep understanding of Richland County, our challenges, and opportunities to approve. I am a strong leader and effective communicator with over twenty years' experience, overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, and setting performance objectives. I firmly believe that i can, make changes to increase the effectiveness of the Richland County Sherift's office. I have the perseverance to see things through and am well-versed in managing multiple concurrent operations. I would be able to facilitate key process improvements. I was bom in Bilings, Montana, grew up in Spokane, Washington, and graduated from college in 2010, receiving a Criminal Justice Degree. I am blessed to be married to my wife Tammy, with whom I have shared an incredible 17 years. We have four beautiful children Noah, Abby, Tori, and Matt. The other loved members of our family are our cat licorice, two fish called Ninja, Ely, and our German Shepard named Jayda. I cherish the great outdoors in Eastern Montanal You can find me catching fish offt the Yellowstone River at Seven Sisters, Richland Park, or the Sidney Bridge. I value going out with my friends and oldest son Noah during hunting season. We hunt for Mule Deer in Lambert, Montana. Richland County residents, I ask for your vote Tuesday. June 7, 2022. A vote for the Republican Nomination to run for Sheriff in the general election. A vote for Kyhil is a vote for rebuilding trust within the community. By promoting positive enforcement activities, By having deputies exit their vehicles to build relationships with citizens. Richland County Montana will be protected from government overeach. I recognize the constitution as the supreme law, I will protect ife, liberty, and property. As a constitutionalist guard, I firmly support Richland County being a 2* Amendment sanctuary county. Accountability As your Sheriff, I will have dear transparency with the community. I will hold the Sheriff's Office along with all the deputies accountable. When it's wrong, the Leader must be the one to stand up and say we were wrong and stand with the citizens of the community to change. Community Policing As your Sheritf, I wil prioritize community engagement, using Sheriff Volunteers emphasizing proactive problem-solving. In emergencies, I will be the one to lead and mobilize the Sheriff Volunteers to ensure a rapid response during a crisis. Crime Prevention As your Sheriff, I wil prioritize the Richland County Crime Prevention Program. This will be structured and presented by the Sherift's Deputies. The Topics will vary but be relevant to the issues happening in Richland County. Equality As your Sheritf, I will ensure that the Richland County Sheriff's Office reflects the community we live in. My commitment to Richland is to staff a more diverse and welcoming workforce relating to candidates' age, race, gender, religion, and sexual orientation. Fit for Service As your Sheritf, I will introduce Fit for Service. A physically fit deputy also promotes a positive image of their organization and instils confidence in the public they serve. I will hold myself to the same physical fitness standards as the deputies. MY FAMILY My family and I moved to Sidney at the height of the Oil Boom in August of 2014. Since we love the outdoors so much, it's been an enjoyable place to raise a family. Tammy loves selling candies at the local vendor shows and farmer's markets. She's keen on traveling, camping, and, most importantly, spending time with the kids. Noah recently graduated from Sidney High School class of 2021. He excelled in Speech and Drama and is now attending Miles City Community College. Abby, my oldest daughter, is enjoying her senior year class of 2022. She is a free spirit and very talented at art and writing. Her plans consist of going to College after High School. My daughter Tori has a passion for animals, reading books, and writing. She is engaged in Cheerleading and Taekwondo. My son Matt relishes math and science in school; he wants to be an engineer when he grows up. He lives for playing video games but still makes time to take Taekwondo classes. We all enjoy walking through Sidney, Kayaking at Gartside Lake, and Agate rock hunting in Crane and Savage as a family. My family enjoys hanging out at the swimming pool and parks in Sidney and Fairview. We look forward to many more years of being part of the community and watching our children grow up here.
