Rogers joined the Army in May of 2002 and attended basic training at Fort Riley, Kansas. Rogers has been stationed at locations such as Camp Casey, South Korea, Iraq and Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Rogers completed Recon Surveillance Leadership courses, airborne school, ranger school, sniper school, combat lifesaver and live tissue training courses throughout his career. Rogers left the United States Army in September 2008 after receiving a Purple Heart.
